Recently I was asked by the sensational Mama Hen of Mama’s Little Chick to be a feature blogger on her new and adorable network site appropriately named Mama’s Little Nestwork. I was thrilled, honored and unable to pen a post – yikes! Eventually I came up with the following. Thanks Mama Hen! If you haven't joined her network I highly encourage you to do so.
When I started my first big girl job in my early 20’s I authored a few sayings to get me through the tough days. My favorite was, “What you do counts, so make sure it’s worth being accounted for.” While some may critique the grammar, it makes a point. We all affect each other in some way albeit positive or negative.
I find so many people don’t accept that what they say or do really matters, but of course it does. As parents we work to create smart and loving children – that counts. We want to be around when our children have children so we need to be healthy – it counts. We want to be good spouses, partners, daughters, sisters and friends/bloggy friends – it all counts.
So if you are in a funk, try to remember your efforts and energy matter to everyone around you. If we give our best or at the very least are conscientious of what we put out there, then we get some pretty good stuff in return.
Thank you for stopping by, you have made my day.
How do you make it count?
Thank you TV for being the inspirational blogger in the Nestwork! You are such a super blogger and deserve to be featured! Have a great day!

Great post as ALWAYS :) I feel like I make it count each day by showing my husband and children how much I love them...I think sometimes I cannot go longer than 30 minutes without saying it! I want to make sure they feel the love in our home ALL THE TIME! I definitely try to take NOTHING in life for granted, and I must work at this each and every day! LOVE, LOVE your posts every time!
ReplyDeleteGreat thoughts! Congrats on your feature.

Congrats on your feature, you deserve it. You are a terrific writer, I always find myself marvelling at your talent...yes, even your inspirational quote!
ReplyDeleteI've seen your comments on other blogs, but this is my first time to stop by from Mama Hen's nestwork. Congrats on being featured. Can't wait to read more about your beautiful family. I'm a big believer in "every little bit counts" because, as I tell my kids, a lot of littles make a lot. Lately, a little bit is all I seem capable of, but that's okay for now. -Eastlyn http://eastlynandcompany.blogspot.com
