Focusing on the Differences, Yikes!

When I’m angry or disappointed with someone I often focus on how we are different. Over time it’s apparent that this way of thinking doesn’t work well for me. Focusing on the differences makes their actions seem bigger and scarier than they are.

At the same time it’s equally important to be smart and exit unhealthy relationships.

Being less judgmental and more forgiving sound like good goals for 2011.

Got any goals for the coming year?

  2. I want to be kinder. I want to listen more. I want to be healtier both in mind, body and spirit.

You know - things that go against my natural way of doing things! ;-) lol

  3. I have got to lose this weight I put on! I have never had extra weight to the point of being very uncomfortable! I am ready to lose the pounds and get healthy. I love what Nicole wrote. Those are great goals. I hope you are well my friend. My laptop is not feeling well and I am at the library writing. I have a desktop at home, but it takes me five hours to do what should take an hour. Yikes! Have a great day!

  6. I want to bring in 2011 by trying to STOP, and TAKE IN EACH MOMENT WITH MY HUSBAND AND BOYS! sometimes I get to doing things like cleaning, cooking, laundry, etc and I tend to lose focus on the TRUE importance of staying at home with them...taking in the LITTLE moments that matter SO much :) Great post...have a great day!

  9. Lose weight always. But I am going to try to find the ability to love myself whether I lose weight or not. I'm going to try to be happier if not but for the simple fact that I'm alive another day to experience my family and friends.

  10. Those are great goals! My goal is to SLOW DOWN. To not run all the time, and to focus on what is important. I often feel like I'm moving at warp speed in 10 directions at the same time. In 2011 I'm going focus on spending more time at home with the kids instead of running around. I'm just going to try and slow it down. Great post TV

  11. I hate to sound like a repeat, but I agree with a lot of these posts. I want to slow down and not take life so seriously. This year just went by way too fast, and I don't think I ever stopped to savor any moment...I also stressed way too much about money....

  12. I haven't set my goals yet but actually I started thinking about them last week. So far I only came up signing up for a 5K and a 10K as physical goals but I think I will write a whole list of fun to dos for the family.
