Relationships Are The Key To Happiness

Where would we be without relationships?

Without relationships we probably wouldn’t feel much and we’d probably act different.

If we didn’t have people we loved, learned from, laughed with we wouldn’t have much.

Imagine how different we would treat loved ones if we truly realized how incredible they are.

What is the most significant relationship in your life?

  1. We're created to be social beings in some way, shape, or form. I think what happened in Tucson is evidence of that -- removal of relationships and communication creates huge issues and problems.
Obviously, my family should be the most important, and they are often the ones that get shorted because they love us the way we are! But a great reminder to live purposefully each day!

  3. what a great post! After just losing my great Uncle a few days ago, I think about relationships a lot, memories with family and friends...I appreciate each and every relationship in my life, but like any other human, I know that sometimes I take these relationships for granted. My husband is my life, along with my two sons, but my mother has always been my "rock", the strength that helped me get through so much during my childhood. I am so thankful for all of these things!

What an uplifting post...you always keep me thinkin'!

  5. I love that picture of you and your adorable KLV! This post is great. Relationships are so important. We learn from one another and from the people we love. We must cherish our relationships, because time has a way of flying. Have a great night my friend!

  6. My husband has been my one great relationship since we were both 16. It's nice to have one that goes back that far!

  7. Every time I leave the house and drive off to do an errand without my husband or my daughter I have this quick thought that it could be the last time I see them or they see me. That thought is what spurs me to make the relationships count because that thought reminds me daily how much they mean to me! So true!

  8. I would have to say the most significant relationship in my life other than God is my husband. He is such a supporter and up-lifter. Without him my second most significant relationship would not even exist, my beautiful baby girl.

(yours is beautiful by the way!)

Thanks for following the The Hickman Four. Following back.

  9. Totally agree. I don't know where I'd be without my God and my husband. There were times I thought I could do things without them but those things proved fruitless and showed me there's a reason I need them. I'm happiest with them close by.

Ralph Waldo Emerson is alleged to have said he would gladly walk 100 miles through a snowstorm for one good conversation.

Love that pic of you and KLV up top!

  10. I love the picture of you and KLV. You look just radiant! I have three very important relationships in my life--one with my little boy, one with my husband, and one with my mom. (Oh, and one with God who I thank everyday for bringing these wonderful people into my life.)

  15. Ohmygoodness, how could I ever just pick one relationship!? But I'd have to go with the one between my girlies and I. Speaking of which, your own little girlie is so darling!! I'm happy to be a new follower from Tues. Blog Trail.

  16. Love Love Love the new photo! You are such a rockstar! My relationship with God is most important and then the relationship I have with myself is next in line. I've had to learn to be kind to myself, forgive myself, and reward myself. Next in line are my family relationships :) I definitely would not survive on an island by myself!
