Falling Into Place

Do you have that group of friends that you immediately fall into place with upon seeing them, regardless of time? The kind of friends that you can talk openly with, laugh super hard with and cry even harder with? I do and I am lucky.

These are my favorite kind of friends. Fun, Real, Smart. They each uniquely possess something admirable.  Happily I have several friends like this throughout the country. The following photo is from a recent visit to Minneapolis. It was a four hour dinner that I didn’t want to end.

Gotta Love Those Table Photos

Do you fall into place with your friends?

  1. I do and I don't. Back in CA, I have a really close group of friends who I would definitely say I "fall into place" with. But here in New England, I have a few friends, but none that are close enough to call my good friends. I don't know why, maybe because I always knew that this wasn't going to be our Forever home, so I didn't invest in my relationships like I did back in CA (where I grew up). I live for my yearly visit back home to reconnect with my best friends.

  2. I do have a couple of dear friends that are like that. No matter the time or miles that separate, it's like we were never apart.

  5. Aren't friends like that the absolute best!! When I was newly married and living in CA, my hubby and I began hanging out with a group of 4 other couples from church quite often. Now over 7 years later we are all SOOOOO close but, sadly we all live in different states! NC, VA, CA, MI...what happened there?? lol;0 Very thankful for each of them!

  9. Yes, I'm blessed to have quite a few friends that I "fall into place with" regardless of how much time has passed. Most are college friends that live all around the country now, but one is even a close friend I made in Spain when I studied abroad in Sevilla. It's always so uplifting to reconnect with them! I'm glad you had a great time!

  10. I don't but, I love this post so much. It's hard to make new friends when you get older. But when I was young there were five or six of us who were always together and making memories.I'm blog hopping today and found your wonderful blog. I'm following along now. Wishing you happiness and a wonderful weekend ahead. Hugs, Katherine

  11. Yes, I am one of the lucky ones as well. That is why I get so frustrated with them at times! : ) I love them so much that they are so much more than friends. I expect a lot from them because I give them my ALL! I wouldn't trade them, or my experiences with them, for anything. The picture is great! BTW I've been stalking your site throughout the day just to listen to your music. I don't have a lot of these songs on my itunes but I will soon! Thanks for sharing your wonderful music with your bloggers!
