Changing my Tude

If you don’t like something, change it.  If you can’t change it, change your attitude – Maya Angelou

This kind of thought process would definitely solve the world’s problems. There are a great many things we can change but millions upon millions more we cannot.   Making changes or changing our attitudes would go a long way in creating peace within.

I've adopted the 'change my attitude' and I can say it has been quite positive.  I don't dwell quite as much and for an over analyzer like me, that's huge!

What do you think?

  1. I think attititude is powerful and it makes or breaks us! In the season with my hubby's long battle with various health issues I could easily have an attitude of anger, frustration, distance, resentment etc. It doesn't solve anything though. A positive attitude is strength, it's powerful!! It pulls us through things, it is contagious! I am quite the analyzer too;0.

Thanks for the sweet comment this morning friend!

  5. Attitude is 99% of it. One of my favorite quotes is similar to Maya Angelou's - "To be happy, don't do what you like. Like what you do!"
I tend to overanalyze too, so it's been everything to me since having a baby.

  6. You have another great post TV! Attitude has a lot to do with everything! But as you know, it can be a very hard thing to change at times. As we get older we get set in our ways. When we can take a look at things and see what needs changing then we can begin to change. If we do not want to see these things then we will continue as we are-stagnant. Have a great day my friend!

  7. I think you're on to something! As an over thinker myself I believe that this could be the key to happiness...It's not what is, but how we perceive it to be. My life has been changing so rapidly lately (for the better) and I think it's due to my attitude change. I get one life. I need to do this one right! : ) Missed you the past couple of days. I came anyway to enjoy your music. It's comforting to know it's there. Have a good weekend! : )

  14. Girlfriend! I live by that quote, it's been my mantra since college and has gotten me through several heartbreaks and tough decisions. Happiness is a choice and sometimes you have to change your perspective in order to see the light.

  15. Okay, this is the third entry that I've read and I'm beginning to feel like I'm sitting in a cafe having discussions with you...or maybe having my own voice echo back at me? Hahaha! I don't mean to advertise but this may just suit your fancy---http://joypagemanuel.com --- from one overanalyzer to another :-))
