The Views We Chose

Sometimes we spend so much time looking at what others have we forget to look at what we have.  When we step back and really look at our lives it’s amazing what we see.

Practicing what I preach I did just that and this is what I saw.

Mother Nature: Our Purple Plum in Bloom

Mother Nature: Momma Hummingbird (her baby has since hatched)

Force of Nature: KLV golfing with a Rake

My view is pretty good, when I remember to appreciate it.

  1. I think we all do that from time to time...but something always snaps us back into reality! I know my hubby and boys do that to me!!

Those pictures are precious of her golfing with the rake...hey, it's a pretty smart idea :)

  2. ahh I just adore that last picture of KLV using a rake to hit a ball or whatever she is trying to do;0. too cute!! Yes! All so true! This morning in the shower I was praying and focusing on thanks. Sure, there are always things that happen and come up but, in reality we always have SO much to soak up, enjoy and be grateful for in every moment. Love this post;0

  9. Precious! I sometimes think back to watching my brother's family before I had kids. I would think, "They look so happy. They have their family and they are so lucky." Now, I try to step back sometimes and realize that in the quiet moments of couch time or day to day living with my son, I have that too now. Sometimes you have to remind yourself that you are living what you want.

  10. Oh my word! The humming bird baby hatched!! Too cool! We had a bird built a nest in the garage. We the started to keep the garage door closed. Today Adam cleaned out the old nest and it had an egg in it :( Long since dead...we didn't realize the bird had laid one in there so quickly.
